IRCTC has introduced the ePayLater facility. Taking advantage of this facility, users can book a train ticket immediately and pay it later. Users will also get this facility for Tatkal tickets. Railways is providing this with the help of Arthshastra Fintech Pvt. Ltd. Under this service, railway passengers will be given an interest free credit term for 14 days after purchasing tickets online, in which they will be able to pay for the booked tickets.
Passengers will not have to worry about ticket booking and failure of payment gateway due to this facility even in instant reservation. By confirming the amount of booking, passengers will be able to book tickets and will continue making payments later. So if you also want to take advantage of this facility, then this is the whole process-
– You must first sign up on ePayLater. To create a new account, the user will need a phone number, email ID and PAN number. Through this, the user will get OTP.
– Now you have to go to IRCTC website irctc.co.in. After that, if you book a ticket, then you have to choose the option of pay later at the time of payment. This will redirect you to the ePayLater website. Here you have to login with your mobile number and OTP.
– ePayLater will pay IRCTC on your behalf and your ticket will be booked.
– You have to pay the ticket money within 14 days of booking the ticket carefully. For this, at the time of booking, you sent a payment link via ePayLater via email and SMS, by clicking on which you can pay.
Keep in mind that if you have not paid the booking amount within 14 days, then you will get a penalty interest at the rate of 36% per annum. At the same time, in some cases the option of ticket cancellation or user deactivation can also be adopted.
